PSYCHOPEDAGOGICAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CERTIFICATION OF TEACHING COMPETENCIES
To be eligible for a teaching position in education, a university graduate must complete the Psychopedagogical Training Program for Certification of Teaching Competencies Level I (for secondary education), followed by Level II (for high school education).
Students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences have the opportunity to pursue the Level I program in parallel with their bachelor's studies. The curriculum includes, among optional courses, the set of disciplines associated with this program. These disciplines are distributed as follows:
Year I:
- Educational Psychology
2 hours lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits - Pedagogy I. Pedagogical Foundations. Curriculum Theory and Methodology
2 hours lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits
Year II:
- Pedagogy II. Theory and Methodology of Instruction. Theory and Methodology of Evaluation
2 hours lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits - Didactics of Specialization A – Mathematics
2 hours lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits
(for students in the Mathematics and Computer Science bachelor's program)
Year III:
- Didactics of Specialization B – Computer Science
2 hours lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits - Classroom Management
1 hour lecture, 1 hour seminar per week – 3 credits - Pedagogical Practice (in compulsory pre-university education) – Specialization A – Mathematics/Computer Science
(depending on the study program) – 3 hours per week – 3 credits - Computer-Assisted Instruction
1 hour lecture, 1 hour seminar per week – 2 credits - Pedagogical Practice (in compulsory pre-university education) – Specialization B – Computer Science
3 hours per week – 2 credits
The psychopedagogical training program concludes with a Graduation Exam – Level I, allocated 5 credits, resulting in the Certificate of Completion of the Psychopedagogical Training Program for Certification of Teaching Competencies Level I.
To enroll in this training program, at the time of admission to the faculty, an additional enrollment application is completed. After obtaining student status, a semester fee corresponding to the courses scheduled for that semester must be paid, which is set annually by the University Senate.
Under the same conditions, master's students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences have the opportunity to pursue the Level II program. The corresponding disciplines are distributed over the four semesters of the master's program, as follows:
Year I:
- Psychopedagogy of Adolescents, Youth, and Adults
2 hours lecture, 1 hour seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 1) - Didactics of the Field and Developments in Mathematics Didactics
2 hours lecture, 1 hour seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 1) - Design and Management of Educational Programs
2 hours lecture, 1 hour seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 2) - Counseling and Guidance
1 hour lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 2)
Year II:
- Pedagogical Practice in Pre-university and University Education
3 hours seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 1) - Intercultural Education
1 hour lecture, 2 hours seminar per week – 5 credits (Semester 1) - Graduation Exam: Level II – 5 credits (Semester 2)
